Dr. Rose

Dr. Breon Rose (PhD, LCPC, CCTP, ACS) is an Assistant Professor of Counseling. With a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Breon has worked extensively in higher education, clinical supervision, and multifaceted therapy. His scholarship centers on relational health, LGBTQIA+ mental wellness, and culturally responsive care. Breon has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters and frequently presents nationally on topics such as Black same-gender-loving relationships and relational cultural theory. His clinical work integrates trauma-responsive approaches, intersectional identity exploration, and interpersonal healing.
